The "Banat studies" held a tribune
on the multicultural nature of regions. The issue provoked
a great interest because of the multinationality of our town. Beside EMiS,
other NGOs, which were interested in further cooperation in this field,
took part at the tribune. Mr. Nikola Slajh, MA, the coordinator of the
"Banat studies", held the tribune.

The Mayor of Zrenjanin received the French-Serbian
delegation for the second time. On this occasion, The National
Theatre "Tosa Jovanovic" was visited. At the end of the reception
the French members of the delegation visited the Local council and approved
of our town by promising to make efforts so that the humanitarian aid
really reaches Zrenjanin and Vojvodina.

The Local council of EMiS, General Association
of private businessmen and the Executive Board of the Municipality of
Zrenjanin met the French-Serbian mission for energy
(CRD and the Association "Gaz Inter" and G.E.P.). The mission
has the following aims: finding the actual ways for supporting the energy
system of Vojvodina before the winter, listing the urgent needs for
priorities: schools, hospitals, kindergartens, public institutions,
food processing facilities, etc., beginning of cooperation with the
small and medium firms sector, particularly in the domain of education
and equipment servicing. As a result, our delegation prepared 11 projects
(for hospitals, schools, kindergartens, water supplying and basic food
processing industries) which were accepted by the French guests. Within
the next 30 to 60 days, positive decisions regarding these needs are
expected to be reached in France and certain financial sources for the
said projects are to be found.

the equipment for the project "Interteka EmiS" from
the Fund for open society.

The Workshop "Regional economic cooperation
and development of women's businesses" was organized by EMiS and
the General Association of private businessmen with more than 200 participants
from Belgrade, Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Smederevska Palanka, Novi Pazar,
Subotica, Vrsac and other towns of Serbia.
