Sinisa Mitrovic started his speach with a conclusion that the job od preservation of enviroment is a noble job. He gave an answer to a question "Why does Serbia need European Process?" with next sentence: Our evaluation at this point is that we are late for 30 years regarding protection of enviroment. Only 0.2 % is being separated from the budget for protection of enviroment in Serbia. In romania, Bulgaria, even in Albania this procent is 1%. We don't have prepared economy that can deal with the sustainable production.
Dusan Stokic emphasised that we have to deal with protection of the enviroment not only twice a year - on the day of protection of enviroment, and planet Earth day, but every day. The man is the bigest pollutant of the planet Earth. We have to ask a question: Do we, and to which extent can we develope as a society but at the same time not to endager the enviroment. The message he sent is as follows: Everyone should work togetherin their local community, NGOs, Government, companies and firms.
Dragana Vujinov presented funds that are available within protection of the enviroment through IPA funds.

Mr. Sabic presented programme of decentralisation in transitional countries, with look back on the current situation in Serbia. He emphasized that thecore of the idea of decentralisation is economic independence. Zrenjanin has during the last years of last century lost its property and that's something that has to be given back in order to achieve economic independence and so that decentralisation process can begin.
Mr. Denda ephasized that the core problem of our society is centralised system of governance which is not good. For example, the money from the investment fund is not being controled by experts, but by 14 ministers, so almost no programme for support of SMEs was conducted. Europe is giving us road, it is up to us if we will take that roud or not.
Mr. Hauser aksed a question at the beginning of his speach: What do I as an individual have from the EU? He, after that, gave the answer to this question and emphasized that the EU is the bigest project of peace and solidarity in Europe that we have ever had. All member states are trully equal partners.
EU first of all gives us freedom of movement, employment and education.

Jelena Kleut has opened the speech with a question: Do you know what is EU? After answers she emphasized that the EU is not only tourism destination, but something that gives and asks for practice. Europe wants fluency of young people, but not the kind of one direction. It is important that we have to realize that we should work on our workplaces, but to have the possibility to travel and get to know different cultures, and all that gives us the EU.
Jovan Petrovic emphasized that young people in Serbia have the great possibility for traveling through European volunteering camps, but that Serbia is a xenophobic place and that people change their opinion only when they see the outer world. He said that last year in Serbia, there was over 300 volunteers from all over the world. There will be 19 camps organized in Serbia this year. There are different camps, but the most frequent are those regarding environmental protection.

Citizens' questions:
1. Do you, perhaps have the information when will the law of regional development enter the parliament procedure?
2. Does international cooperation exists with other counries beside Romania, such as Croatioa, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Bulgaria, Slovenia...?
3. Do you think that Serbia has institutional capacities on a local level to satisfy European Standards?
4. Education can be strong instrument of development. Do you think that the crossborder cooperation in this field is good, and how can it be increesed through crossborder projects?
5. How do you explain the fact that Novi Sad has faster development that Belgrade, but at the same time it has much less financial incomes?
We think that the responce from the citizens was good as well as their questions and we came to a conclusion that citizens in Zrenjanin are not well informed about EU programmes for Serbia.
The atmosphere on the debate was relaxed and there were no tensions that were expected regarding the situation in preelection campaign.
What bothers citizens the most is the fact that no one gives them concrete answers on questions such as what does every citizen gets by entering Serbia in EU.
